So this last weekend I ran my Langdon Tactical Beretta PX4 GSD in a GPA Match, this was about two weeks after I ran the Langdon HK P30L LEM in a USPSA match. My initial thoughts on things are that I feel like the P30 grip fit my hand just a tad bit better, where I didn’t really have to think about building a good grip, it just kind of happened naturally. With the PX4 I had a few times that I noticed I needed to adjust a bit on the fly.
I did notice though the PX4 did shoot noticeably softer than my p30 and much softer than my Glock 47’s. Also the double action on the PX4 wasn’t as big of an item to get past as I thought it might be and the single action made most shots require less input than the Glock 47.

Lastly, the reloading…
I noticed that I had better reloads with the P30, and that the paddle mag release seemed to produce better outcomes. I would say though that the PX4 reloads felt better than the Glock 47 Reloads.
Overall, I think the Glock 47 is not going to make another appearance at matches for me, I am torn between the PX4 and the P30 series, and going to be doing further testing. I plan on taking the px4 as my main gun in an upcoming class with Ben Stoeger to see if I can make it feel as natural as the p30, and produce better outcomes. As of now though, I think I technically saw better results with the P30 series, despite enjoying the recoil impulse of the PX4 more.

More to come!
